The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission reserves
the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies. Consideration of each satellite application in this Public Notice
may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions, oppositions and

SAT-MOD-20060821-00091 E S2357 Loral Skynet Corporation
Date Filed: 08/21/2006 20:03:33:32600
Modification

Loral Skynet Corporation has filed an application to modify the space station license for the Telstar 11N replacement satellite,
currently authorized for operation in the 10.95-11.2 GHz, 11.45-12.2 GHz, 12.5-12.75 GHz, and 13.75-14.5 GHz bands at the orbital
location of 37.5° West Longitude. Loral Skynet requests Telstar 11N license modifications including authority to operate at the
orbital location of 37.55º West Longitude with increased transponder capacity and authority for expanded geographical coverage.
Loral Skynet contends that the proposed changes would serve the public interest by enabling it to use its authorized frequencies more
efficiently and provide service in a larger coverage area.

Loral Skynet also requests waiver of Section 25.202(g) of the Commission’s rules, if necessary, to allow Telstar 11N to use carriers at
11699.5 MHz, 11698.5 MHz, 11198.25 MHz, and 11199.25 MHz for telemetry.

SAT-MOD-20060929-00113 E S2181 SES Americom, Inc.
Date Filed: 09/29/2006 16:19:21:29300
Modification

SES Americom, Inc. (SES Americom) has filed an application for a modification of its license for the Ka-Band payload on the AMC-16
geostationary Fixed Satellite Service satellite. The satellite is currently operating at the 118.75° W.L. orbital location. See SES
Americom, Inc. and EchoStar Satellite L.L.C., Order and Authorization, DA 06-757 (Int'l Bur., rel. April 7, 2006)(approving drift of
AMC-16 from the 85° W.L. orbital location to the 118.75° W.L. orbital location, transfer of control of the satellite's Ku-Band
operations to Telesat Canada, for operation under a Canadian authorization, and cessation of Ka-Band operations at the 85° W.L.
orbital location until December 31, 2006); see also File No. SES-STA-20060921-00108 (granting SES Americom authority for 60
days, until November 21, 2006, to operate the AMC-16 Ka-Band payload at the 118.75° W.L. orbital location). SES Americom seeks
authorization to transfer control of the Ka-Band payload to Telesat Canada, which would operate the Ka-Band payload pursuant to an
authorization from Industry Canada. SES Americom also seeks to extend the period in which Ka-Band operations at the 85° W.L.
orbital location would be suspended, until September 30, 2007. SES Americom states that the extension is necessary due to delays in
the launch of the Anik F3 satellite, which is expected to provide regular service at the 118.75° W.L. orbital location.
