                                         Satellite Space Applications Accepted for Filing
The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission reserves
the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies. Consideration of each satellite application in this Public Notice
may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions, oppositions and
other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's rules, unless
otherwise noted. 47 C.F.R. § 25.154.

PanAmSat Licensee Corp. has filed an application for modification of the license for its SBS-6 satellite to extend the term
of the license. Specifically, PanAmSat requests an extension of satellite’s term of operation until the earlier of: (1) five years from the
license expiration date; or (2) the date that a replacement for SBS-6 has been successfully placed into orbit and its operations fully
conform to the terms and conditions of its space station authorization. In the alternative, PanAmSat requests the Commission grant an
STA for a period of 180 days after the license for SBS-6 expires. (See File No. SAT-STA-200501020-00205.) SBS-6 operates at
74.05° W.L. in the 11.70 - 12.2 GHz and 14.0 - 14.5 GHz bands.

Petition for Declaratory Ruling to be Added to the Permitted List


Space Communications Corporation has filed an petition for declaratory ruling to add its satellite, Superbird-B-2, an in-orbit satellite
licensed by Japan, to the Commission's Permitted Space Station List. The Superbird B-2 satellite is located at 162° E.L. orbital
location and will operate on the Ku-band frequencies of 14.0-14.5 GHz to provide Fixed-Satellite Service uplink service from the
United States.

Petition for Declaratory Ruling to be Added to the Permitted List

On December 20, 2005, Loral Skynet do Brasil filed an application notifying the Commission that on November 21, 2005, indirect
control of Loral Skynet do Brasil was transferred from Loral Space and Communications Ltd., Debtor-in-Possession, to Loral Space
and Communications Inc. Loral Skynet do Brasil is licensed by Brazil to operate the Ku-band Estrela do Sul 1, an in-orbit satellite
located at 63º W.L. The Commission added the Estrela do Sul 1 satellite to the Commission's Permitted Space Station List with
conditions on December 23, 2003. In the Matter of Loral Skynet do Brasil, Order, DA 03-4095 (rel. Dec. 23, 2003) (granting
SAT-PDR-20021010-001). Pursuant to section 25.137(g) of the Commission's rules, the Satellite Division seeks comment on whether
the transaction affects any of the considerations made when the original satellite operator was allowed to enter the U.S. Market.

Special Temporary Authority


PanAmSat Licensee Corp. has filed an application for special temporary authority to continue operating SBS-6 for a period of 180
days following the expiration of the satellite’s license term. SBS-6 operates at 74.05° W.L. in the 11.70 - 12.2 GHz and 14.0 - 14.5
GHz bands.
