SAT-STA-20051018-00201 E DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC Date Filed: 10/18/2005 17:01:15:40000 Special Temporary Authority DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC has filed a request for Special Temporary Authority to relocate the DIRECTV 2 direct broadcast satellite from its current orbit location at 100.6° W.L. to 91° W.L., a Canadian broadcast satellite service orbit location under the ITU Region 2 BSS Plan, and to perform TT&C functions in connection with the relocation. DIRECTV has agreed to lease all of the capacity on DIRECTV 2 to Telesat Canada for operation of the satellite at 91° W.L. to support BSS service into Canada, subject to receipt of the requisite approvals from the U.S. and Canadian regulatory authorities. At the 91° W.L. orbital location, DIRECTV 2 would operate pursuant to an authorization from Industry Canada. (XM) requests Special Temporary Authority (STA) to operate one lower power terrestrial repeater (less than 2 kW EIRP) at weekly PGA Tour events occurring at various locations from January through August, 2006, that are listed in Exhibit A to the application and pursuant to the technical parameters specified in this request. (XM) requests Special Temporary Authority (STA) to operate one lower power terrestrial repeater (less than 2 kW EIRP) from December 6 through December 12, 2005, at a PGA Tour event (the "Target World Challenge presented by Countrywide") pursuant to the technical parameters specified in this request. On June 9, 2005, the International Bureau granted XM an STA to operate a lower power terrestrial repeater at various PGA Tour events, including the Target World Challenge presented by Countrywide, for a period of 180 days. See XM Radio Inc., Order, DA 05-1642 (June 9, 2005) ("June 9 STA"). Because the 180-day period of the June 9 STA expires on December 6, 2005, XM seeks to extend this STA to go through the conclusion of the event on December 12, 2005. SAT-STA-20051115-00217 E Lockheed Martin Corporation Date Filed: 11/15/2005 11:09:43:43000 Special Temporary Authority Lockheed Martin Corp. has filed an application for a ten-day extension of its Special Temporary Authority (see File No. SAT-STA-20050914-00177) to conduct in-orbit testing of its RNSS space station (Call Sign S2372) at the 150º W.L. orbital location prior to placement on station at 133º W.L. The space station arrived at 150º W.L. on October 22, 2005, hence the original STA expires on November 21, 2005. In-orbit testing of RPS-1 is currently expected to be completed by the end of November 2005, at which point the space station will be moved to its permanent location at 133º W.L.
