The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission reserves
the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies. Consideration of each satellite application in this Public Notice
may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions, oppositions and
other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's rules, unless
otherwise noted. 47 C.F.R. § 25.154.

Special Temporary Authority


DIRECTV Enterprises LLC requests special temporary authority, for a period of 30 days, to (i) re-authorize its DIRECTV 5 satellite
under regulation by the Commission; (ii) drift DIRECTV from its current orbital position at 72.5º W.L. to 109.8º W.L. and to (iii)
perform telemetry, tracking and command functions during the drift. DIRECTV requests that the special temporary authority become
effective upon the successful transfer of traffic from DRIECTV to its DIRECTV 1 satellite at the 72.5 º W.L. orbital location.

Special Temporary Authority


DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC requests special temporary authority to operate telemetry, tracking and command to its DIRECTV 6
satellite during a drift from 109.8º W.L. to 109.5º W.L. for up to one week, beginning just before the anticipated arrival of its
DIRECTV 5 satellite at 109.8º W.L. DIRECTV also requests special temporary authority to operate telemetry, tracking and command
to its DIRECTV 6 at 109.5º W.L. for 180 days.

On May 19, 2005, DIRECT Enterprises, LLC filed a letter amending its request for special temporary authority to operate the
DIRECTV 8 satellite. The initial request asked for authority to operate the DIRECTV 8 satellite for (1) TT&C functions at and
during transit between the 102.8° W.L., 99.2° W.L., and 101° W.L. orbital locations, and (2) for in-orbit testing at the 99.2°
W.L. orbital location for a period of up to 18 days ending June 23, 2005. (See Public Notice, Report No. SAT-00291 (May 13,
2005).)

DIRECTV withdraws the in-orbit testing portion of its request, and reiterates the request to provide TT&C function at and during
transit between the 102.8° W.L., 99.2° W.L., and 101° W.L. orbital locations in the following frequency bands: 17307 MHz
uplink and 12203.25 and 12203.75 MH downlink.
