The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission reserves
the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies. Consideration of each satellite application in this Public Notice
may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions, oppositions and
other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's rules, unless
otherwise noted. 47 C.F.R. § 25.154.

Special Temporary Authority


On May 6, DIRECTV Enterprises, L.L.C. filed a request for special temporary authority, IBFS File No. SAT-STA-20050506-00095,
to operate the Direct Broadcast Satellite communications payload on the DIRECTV 8 satellite for (1) TT&C functions at and during
transit between the 102.8° W.L., 99.2° W.L., and 101° W.L. orbital locations, and (2) for in-orbit testing at the 99.2° W.L. orbital
location for a period of up to 18 days ending June 23, 2005. The DIRECTV 8 satellite is scheduled for launch on May 21, 2005. For

Special Temporary Authority


On May 6, DIRECTV Enterprises, L.L.C. filed a request for special temporary authority, IBFS File No. SAT-STA-20050506-00096,
to operate the Ka-band communications payload on the DIRECTV 8 satellite at the 102.8° W.L. orbital location for up to four days
ending on June 3, 2005, and thereafter to drift to the 99.2° W.L. orbital location and operate the Ka-band communications payload for
a period of up to 18 days ending June 23, 2005. DIRECTV intends to operate the Ka-band payload at these locations to "conduct
proof of concept video transmissions to recently developed multi-feed consumer terminals and verify accurate pointing of feeder link
earth station antennas licensed to communicate with the" 99.2° W.L. and 102.8° W.L. locations. The DIRECTV 8 satellite is
