The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission reserves
the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies. Consideration of each satellite application in this Public Notice
may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions, oppositions and
other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's rules, unless
otherwise noted. 47 C.F.R. § 25.154.

EchoStar Satellite L.L.C. has filed an application for authority to construct, launch, and operate a Direct Broadcast Satellite ("DBS") in
the 12.2-12.7 GHz and 17.3-17.8 GHz frequency bands at the 86.5º W.L. orbital location. Placing this application on public notice is
done without prejudice to the Commission making determinations regarding the merits of the proposal under pertinent Commission
rules, including Sections 25.114(d)(13) and 25.148(f) (47 C.F.R. §§ 25.114(d)(13) and 25.148(f)).

Modification


Globalstar LLC (GLLC) is requesting authority to implement an Ancillary Terrestrial Component (ATC) for the Globalstar above 1
GHz, or Big LEO, mobile satellite service (MSS) system. GLCC is seeking to modify its space station license for blanket authority to
construct and operate unlimited number of ATC base stations. The proposed ATC base stations and antennas will transmit in the
2487.5-2493 MHz band and receive in the 1610-1615.5 MHz band using methods similar to those currently deployed by terrestrial
cellular and PCS systems. No waivers have been requested.
