Modification Grant of Authority Effective Date: 02/10/2005 Nature of Service: Direct to Home Fixed Satellite, Fixed Satellite Service Granted with conditions The DIRECTV Group, Inc.'s ("DIRECTV) request, File No. SAT-MOD-20041122-00211, to modify its authorization, SAT-MOD-20040614-00114, Call Sign S2191, to relocate its authorized orbital location from 103.05° W.L. to 102.80° W.L. Accordingly, DIRECTV is authorized to launch and operate its SPACEWAY-1 Ka-band satellite into the 102.80° W.L. orbit location, in the 18.365-18.53 GHz, 18.57-18.735 GHz, 19.7-20.2 GHz, 28.36-28.525 GHz, 29.26-29.425 GHz, and 29.5-30.0 GHz frequency bands. Accordingly, DIRECTV is authorized to launch and operate its SPACEWAY-2 Ka-band satellite into the 99.20° W.L. orbit location, in the 18.365-18.53 GHz, 18.57-18.735 GHz, 19.7-20.2 GHz, 28.36-28.525 GHz, 29.26-29.425 GHz, and 29.5-30.0 GHz frequency bands. Granted with conditions PanAmSat Licensee Corp.'s ("PanAmSat") application for Special Temporary Authority, File No: SAT-STA-20041219-00230. Accordingly, PanAmSat is authorized, for the period of February 2, 2005 to August 1, 2005, to conduct tracking, telemetry and command (TT&C) operations necessary to drift the GALAXY 3R satellite call sign GAL-3R from its current location at 111.0º W.L. to 73.95º W.L. and maintain the satellite at 73.95° W.
