Amendment

Intelsat LLC has filed an application to amend its pending application for modification of its space station authorization for
INTELSAT 706, submitted on July 30, 2004. (See File No. SAT-MOD-20040730-00152) The Modification Application sought
Commission approval to relocate INTELSAT 706 from 53.0° W.L. to 50.25° E.L. and operate there in C- and Ku-band. This
amendment provides clarifying and additional information requested by the Commission in a letter dated August 31, 2004. (See Letter
from Robert Nelson, FCC, to Patrick J. Cerra, Intelsat LLC, File No. SAT-MOD-20040730-00152 (dated Aug. 31, 2004).)

Modification

SES AMERICOM, Inc. (SES AMERICOM) has filed an application for modification of its license for the Satcom C-3 fixed satellite
space station. The Satcom C-3 satellite is operating at 131° W.L. in the 5925-6425 and 3700-4200 MHz frequency bands. Satcom
C-3 has been replaced early at that orbital location by AMC-11, which was launched on May 19, 2004. SES AMERICOM requests
authority to relocate Satcom C-3 to 79° W.L. following the transfer of traffic from Satcom C-3 to AMC-11 and seeks permanent
re-assignment of Satcom C-3 to 79° W.L.

Modification

Intelsat LLC has filed an application for modification of its INTELSAT 602 satellite to relocate INTELSAT 602 from 50.5º E.L. to
157º E.L. Intelsat plans to start the relocation of INTELSAT 602 in October/November 2004 and have the satellite at the 157º E.L.
location in March/April 2005. At the new location, INTELSAT 602 will operate in the inclined orbit mode.

Special Temporary Authority

SES Americom, Inc. has filed an application for special temporary authority to permit it to test the Ku-band payload of its AMC-16
spacecraft at 82.1º W.L. and the Ka-band payload of AMC-16 at 84.9º W.L. for a period of up to 90 days following launch. AMC-16 is
a Ku/Ka-band hybrid satellite that SES AMERICOM proposes to operate at the 85º W.L. orbital location. The Ku-band payload of
AMC-16 will replace the Ku-band payload of AMC-9 (See File No. SAT-RPL-20040227-00024), and the Ka-band payload of AMC-16
will be part of SES AMERICOM’s authorized Ka-band satellite system (see File No. SAT-MOD-20040227-00022). [See Policy Branch
