On August 26, 2004, the Policy Branch granted the application (File No. SAT-MOD-20040628-00124) filed by HISPAMAR
SATELITES, SA. to modify the conditions placed on the inclusion of the AMAZONAS-1 satellite (S2622) located at the 61° W.L.
orbital location, which is licensed by Brazil, on the Federal Communications Commission's Permitted Space Station List ("Permitted
List"). Accordingly, the AMAZONAS-1 satellite is now authorized to provide Direct-to-Home (DTH) service to, from, or within the
United States. The remaining conditions for inclusion of the AMAZONAS-1 satellite on the Permitted List remain in effect.
Accordingly, the AMAZONAS-1 satellite must be constructed, launched, and placed into operation in accordance with the technical
parameters and terms and conditions of the original grant (File No. SAT-PPL-20040402-00073) including the time periods specified
therein.

On August 12, 2004, Hispamar Satellites, S.A. informed the Federal Communications Commission that the AMAZONAS-1 satellite
(S2622) located at the 61° W.L. orbital location, which is licensed by Brazil, was launched on August 5, 2004 and the frequencies
associated with the satellite have been brought into use. See Letter from Donald M. Jansky, Jansky/Barmat Telecommunications, Inc.
Representatives of HISPAMAR to Marlene H. Dortch, Secretary, Federal Communications Commission, dated August 12, 2004.
Accordingly, the Satellite Division has determined that Hispamar has completed the launch and operation milestone associated with the
grant of Hisparmar’s request for inclusion on the Commission’s Permitted Space Station List, File No. SAT-PPL-20040402-00073 and
File No. SAT-MOD-20040628-00124. (See Policy Branch Information, Actions Taken, Public Notice, Report Number SAT-00222
(rel. June 18, 2004). Accordingly, Hispamar is no longer required to maintain the bond associated with this grant.
