SAT-AMD-20020326-00055 CS91004 PanAmSat Licensee Corp.
Amendment
PanAmSat Licensee Corp. has filed an amendment to its pending application for modification for its PAS-5 satellite (See File No.
SAT-MOD-19980928-00078). In the modification application, PanAmSat requested authority to downlink signals from the Australia
beam on PAS-5 for the purpose of monitoring the performance of the satellite from an earth station located at PanAmSat’s teleport
in Napa, California.

PanAmSat has filed this amendment seeking to make commercial use of the signals that are received by the Napa earth station.
PanAmSat is not seeking permission to downlink these signals to any PanAmSat or customer earth station in the United States other
than the Napa earth station.

CORRECTIONS
SAT-PDR-20020321-00027 Telesat Canada

The description contained in Public Notice, Report No. SAT-00106 (released March 25, 2002), incorrectly described this
application as a Petition for Declaratory Ruling to be included on the "Permitted Space Station" list. Satellites operating in the
Ka-band were not included in this list created by the Commission in the DISCO II First Reconsideration Order. [See Amendment
of the Commission's Regulatory Policies to Allow Non-U.S. Licensed Space Stations to Provide Domestic and International
Satellite Service in the United States, Order, IB Docket No. 96-111, FCC 99-325 (released Oct. 29, 1999) (DISCO II First
Reconsideration Order).]

CORRECTED DESCRIPTION: The Petition for Declaratory Ruling seeks permission to use the Ka-band capacity on Anik F2, a
Canadian-licensed satellite, for the provision of two-way broadband communication services in the United States, providing
market access for Telesat Canada pending resolution of the establishment a fee schedule for blanket Ka-band earth station license
applications and manufacturer development of Ka-band earth stations.

The comment dates remain unchanged.
