The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission reserves
the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in

SAT-STA-20010925-00086               S2430          DIRECTV ENTERPRISES, INC.
Special Temporary Authority


DIRECTV Enterprises, Inc. has filed a request for Special Temporary Authority to operate its DIRECTV 4S satellite at the 110.55°
W.L. orbital location for an eight-week period following the launch of the satellite to conduct in-orbit tests. At the completion of
testing, DIRECTV will move the DIRECTV 4S satelilte into its assigned location of 101.2° W.L.

   Supplemental letter from Lon Levin, counsel for Motient, to Magalie Roman Salas, Secretary, FCC, filed on October 26, 2001.
   The supplement details changes to the ownership structure of the limited and general partners of the proposed licensee Mobile
   Satellite Ventures Subsidiary LLC (MSV Sub). Applicants note that more than fifty percent of the ownership and control of the
   general partnership, Mobile Satellite Ventures GP Inc., remains with entities that were parties to the original application and that
   there is not any change in control of the proposed licensee, MSV Sub.
