Modification
EchoStar Satellite Corporation has filed an application for modification of its authorization to launch and operate a Ku-band satellite
at 121° W.L. EchoStar is seeking authority to construct a single hybrid Ku- and Ka-band satellite, EchoStar 9, in place of the separate
Ku- and Ka-band satellites authorized for the 121° location. Concurrently, EchoStar has filed an application for modification of its
authorization to launch and operate a Ka-band satellite at 121° W.L. to permit Ka-band operations from the EchoStar 9 satellite at
121° W.L. See File No. SAT-MOD-20010608-00055.

EchoStar Satellite Corporation has filed an application for modification of its authorization to launch and operate a Ka-band satellite
at 121° W.L. EchoStar is seeking authority to construct a single hybrid Ku- and Ka-band satellite, EchoStar 9, in place of the separate
Ku- and Ka-band satellites authorized for the 121° location, and is seeking authority to permit Ka-band operations from the EchoStar 9
satellite at that location. Concurrently, EchoStar has filed an application for modification of its authorization to launch and operate a
Ku-band satellite at 121° W.L. See File No. SAT-MOD-20010608-00054.

SAT-MOD-20010614-00052               PAS-6          PANAMSAT LICENSEE CORP.
Modification
PanAmSat Licensee Corporation has filed an application for modification of its PAS-6 satellite to permit the relocation of the
spacecraft from 68.5° E.L. to 72° E.L., an orbital location for which PanAmSat holds a conditional authorization. PanAmSat launched
its PAS-24 satellite in May 2001 and is conducting in-orbit testing of that spacecraft 72 ° E.L. Upon succesful completion of the
testing, PanAmSat intends to colocate the PAS-24 satellite with the PAS-6 satellite 68.5° E.L. for a short period of time to transfer
traffic and then relocate and operate PAS-6 at 72° E.L.
