                            RE: SATELLITE RADIO APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED FOR FILING
The applications listed herein have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission reserves
the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined they are defective and not in
conformance with the Commission's Rules and Regulations and its Policies. Final action will not be taken on any of these
applications earlier than 30 days following the date of this notice. 47 U.S.C. & 309(b). All applications accepted for filing
will be assigned call signs, or other unique station identifiers. However, these assignments are for administrative
purposes only and do not in any way prejudice Commission action.

Special Temporary Authority
Class of Station:
Verestar, Inc.:

Special Temporary Authority request for authority beginning from May 6, 2001, to conduct in-orbit tests and integration system tests
at its five TT&C earth stations located at Brewster, Washington, in support of the launch of the United Kingdom-licensed ICO F-2
mobile satellite systems. The tests will be performed on the entire 81.6 MHZ of the 5 GHz and the 86.2 MHZ of the 7 GHz
feeder-link bands, and the 2 GHz mobile satellite service band.

Comments, petitions, or informal objections regarding these applications may be filed on or before May 7, 2001. Replies to comments
and oppositions to petitions or informal objections may be filed on or before May 17, 2001. Responses may be filed on or before May
24, 2000. All comments, petitions, informal objections, replies, and responses shall be consistent with section 25.154 of our rules. See
47 C.F.R. § 25.154. Copies of the referenced applications and subsequent filings will be available for public inspection in the Federal
