The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission reserves

SAT-STA-20001003-00143              S2379          GE AMERICAN COMMUNICATIONS, INC.
Special Temporary Authority


GE American Communications, Inc. and Alascom, Inc. have filed a request for special temporary authority for in-orbit testing of the
GE-8/Aurora III satellite. GE Americom/Alascom are seeking authority to test the GE-8/Aurora III satellite at 146 degrees W.L. prior
to placing it into service at its assigned location of 139 degrees W.L. GE Americom/Alascom are seeking a 90-day test period
commencing with the successful launch of the satellite. The satellite is scheduled to be launched on December 21, 2000.




   CORRECTIONS
   SAT-MOD-20001003-00133              SBS-6         PANAMSAT CORPORATION


   On Public Notice, Report No. SAT-00056 (released October 16, 2000), the file number assigned to PanAmSat Corporation's
   request for special temporary authority was omitted. File number SAT-STA-20001003-00141 should be used when referring to
   PanAmSat's request for STA for its SBS-6 satellite. This correction does not affect the computation date for filing comments in
   these proceedings.



   SAT-MOD-20001003-00134              GALAXY VI PANAMSAT CORPORATION


   On Public Notice, Report No. SAT-00056 (released October 16, 2000), the file number assigned to PanAmSat Corporation's
   request for special temporary authority was omitted. File number SAT-STA-20001003-00142 should be used when referring to
   PanAmSat's request for STA for its Galaxy VI satellite. This correction does not affect the computation date for filing comments
   in these proceedings.
