Nature of Service:        Fixed Satellite Service


On February 26, 2019, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, SES Americom, Inc. request to access the U.S. market to provide
fixed-satellite service through a Gibraltar-licensed Ku-band space station, NSS-11, at the 176.0° E.L. orbital location. Specifically, the Satellite
Division added NSS-11 at 176.0° E.L. to the Commission's Permitted Space Station List for fixed satellite service in the 14.0-14.5 GHz
(Earth-to-space) frequency band and granted market access in the 12.25-12.75 GHz (space-to-Earth) frequency band.

The Satellite Division has designated the above-captioned proceeding as "permit-but-disclose" for purposes of the Commission's rules
governing ex parte communications, effective February 28, 2019. We find that designating this proceeding as "permit-but-disclose" will
serve the public interest by facilitating the resolution of broad policy issues raised by the application. See 47 CFR §§ 1.1200(a), 1.1206 and
1.1208 note 2.
