SAT-MOD-20181105-00082 E S2386 Intelsat License LLC Modification 01/01/2019 - 12/31/2025 Grant of Authority Effective Date: 02/07/2019 Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On February 7, 2019, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of Intelsat License, LLC to modify the authorization for its Galaxy 13 satellite by extending the license term of that satellite to December 31, 2025. Galaxy 13 operates in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth) and 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space) bands at the 127.0° W.L orbital location. SAT-T/C-20181218-00092 E S2129 DG Consents Sub, Inc. INFORMATIVE On December 4, 2018, the Satellite Division authorized Intelsat Licensee LLC to operate the Intelsat 15R space station (Call Sign S3022) at the 85° E.L. orbital location using the 10.95-11.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), 12.5-12.75 GHz (space-to-Earth), 17.8-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), 13.75-14.0 GHz (Earth-to-space), 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space), 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-space), and 27.5-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. See IBFS File No. SAT-LOA-20171027-00145. On December 20, 2018, Intelsat notified the Commission that it was surrendering the 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-space), 17.8-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 27.5-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands and the 20.180 GHz telemetry, tracking, and command frequency. See Letter from Jennifer D. Hindin, Counsel, Intelsat License LLC, to Marlene H. Dortch, Secretary, FCC, dated December 20, 2018. Intelsat is not operating, nor has it indicated any intent to operate, another space station that uses these frequency bands at the 85° E.L. orbital location. These frequency bands at the 85° E.L. orbital location are now available for reassignment pursuant to the Commission's first-come, first-served licensing process effective 2:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 12. At that time, interested parties may file applications for new space stations, requests for market access by non-U.S. licensed space stations, modifications to licensed space stations, or amendments to pending applications taking this announcement into account. Applications filed prior to this date and time will be dismissed as premature, without prejudice to re-filing.
