Nature of Service:       Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service


On November 1, 2018, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of XM Radio LLC to modify the authorization for its XM-5
satellite digital audio radio service (SDARS) space station at the 85.15° W.L. orbital location by extending the eight-year license term for an
additional eight years, through December 2, 2026. XM Radio LLC is currently authorized to operate XM-5 as an in-orbit spare to provide
SDARS at the 85.15° W.L. orbital location in the 2320-2345 MHz (space-to-Earth) frequency band and to receive feeder link transmissions in
the 7025-7075 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency band.

Special Temporary Authority
Grant of Authority                                                                                                 Effective Date:     11/01/2018



On November 1, 2018, the Satellite DIvision granted, with conditions, special temporary authority for a period of 180 days to DIRECTV
Enterprises, LLC to continue to conduct telemetry, tracking and command operations necessary to maintain DIRECTV T15 at the 100.85° W.L.
orbital location and to provide direct broadcast satellite service while at 100.85° W.L. in the 12.2-12.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 17.3-17.8 GHz
(Earth-to-space) frequency bands.

Special Temporary Authority

On November 1, 2018, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority for a period of 30 days to DIRECTV
Enterprises, LLC to continue to: (1) conduct telemetry, tracking, and command operations necessary to maintain DIRECTV T8 at the 100.75°
W.L. orbital location using the following center frequencies: 17307.00 MHz (Earth-to-space); 12203.25 MHz and 12203.75 MHz
(space-to-Earth); and (2) provide direct-broadcast satellite service via DIRECTV at 100.75° W.L.

The Satellite Division has determined that SES DTH do Brasil Ltda. has met the launch and begin operations milestone associated with its
grant of market access for the SES-14 space station at 47.5° W.L. (Call Sign S2974) and may release the bond associated with this space
station, as provided in the Comprehensive Review of Licensing and Operating Rules for Satellite Services, Second Report and Order, 30
FCC Rcd 14713 (2015).
