Nature of Service:       Fixed Satellite Service


On April 19, 2018, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, Intelsat License, LLC's request to modify the authorization for the Galaxy 12
space station to extend the license term through December 31, 2023. Galaxy 12 provides fixed-satellite services operations at the 129.0° W.L
orbital location in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth) and 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands.

Special Temporary Authority

On April 13, 2018, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to Intelsat License LLC, for a period of 30 days, to
conduct telemetry, tracking and command operations necessary to drift the Intelsat 5 space station from the 156.9° E.L. orbital location to the
93.2° W.L. orbital location using the following center frequencies: 14.498 GHz and 13.999 GHz (Earth-to-space); and 11.451 GHz, 11.452 GHz,
and 11.454 GHz (space-to-Earth).

On April 17, 2018, DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC surrendered the authorization for its geostationary-satellite orbit DIRECTV KU-76 space
station at the 76.2° W.L. orbital location. See Letter from Brian Regan, VP-Associate General Counsel, DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC, to
Marlene H. Dortch, Secretary, FCC, IBFS File No. SAT-MOD-20150415-00022 (dated Apr. 17, 2018). As a consequence of this
surrender, DIRECTV is not operating, nor has it indicated any intent to operate, a space station that uses the 11.7-12.2 GHz and 17.3-17.8
GHz (space-to-Earth) or 14.0-14.5 GHz and 24.75-25.25 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands at the 76.2° W.L. orbital location. These
frequency bands at the 76.2° W.L. orbital location are now available for reassignment pursuant to the Commission's first-come, first-served
licensing process effective 2:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. At that time, interested parties may file applications for new space
stations, requests for market access by non-U.S. licensed space stations, modifications to licensed space stations, or amendments to
pending applications taking this announcement into account. Applications filed prior to this date and time will be dismissed as premature,
without prejudice to re-filing.
