Launch and Operating Authority
Granted in Part/ Deferred in Part Effective Date: 04/12/2018

Nature of Service: Earth Exploration Satellite Service

On April 12, 2018, the Satellite Division issued a further grant in part of Astro Digital U.S., Inc.'s application to construct, deploy, and operate
its Landmapper Earth Exploration Satellite Service system at orbital altitudes between 475 and 625 km. The Division granted Astro Digital's
request for a waiver of a condition of its prior grant in part to use ITU software to demonstrate EPFD compliance with the same ITU Article 22
limits applicable to NGSO FSS operations in the 29.9-30.0 GHz band. Astro Digital was previously granted authority to construct, deploy and
operate one Landmapper-BC satellite using the following frequencies: (1) 25.5-27.0 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 29.9-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space)
frequency bands for EESS; (2) 402.9 MHz (Earth-to-space) and 400.5 MHz (space-to-Earth) for telemetry, tracking, and command; and (3)
2483.5-2495 MHz and 1615-1617.775 MHz for inter-satellite links between its satellite and the Globalstar system. The Division continued to
defer action on the remainder of Astro Digital's application.
