The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission reserves
the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined that the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies. Consideration of each satellite application in this Public Notice
may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions, oppositions, and
other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's rules, unless
otherwise noted. 47 C.F.R. § 25.154.

Authorization to Operate


On December 21, 2017, SES Americom, Inc. filed an application for authority to operate AMC-18 in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth) and
5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space) bands at the 139.0º W.L. orbital location. SES Americom states that AMC-18 will provide backup capacity for
AMC-8, which is jointly licensed by SES Americom and Alascom, Inc. and provides service to Alaska using C-band frequencies. SES
Americom also seeks authority to conduct telemetry, tracking and command operations necessary to drift AMC-18 from the 104.95º W.L. orbital
location, where it has been operating pursuant to a Gibraltar license, to the 139.0° W.L. orbital location and to maintain AMC-18 at 139.0° W.L.
using the following center frequencies: 3700.5 MHz, 4199.5 MHz (space-to-Earth); and 6423.5 MHz (Earth-to-space).

Amendment


The Boeing Company amends its application to operate a 2,956 satellite non-geostationary constellation to request that SOM1101 LLC be
substituted as the applicant. SOM1101 LLC is indirectly wholly owned by Greg Wyler, the Chairman of the Board of WorldVu Satellites
Limited (d/b/a OneWeb). Boeing requests waiver of 47 CFR § 25.159(b). This proceeding has been designated "permit-but-disclose" for
purposes of the Commission's rules governing ex parte communications, effective September 8, 2016. DA 16-1016.

substituted as the applicant. SOM1101 LLC is indirectly wholly owned by Greg Wyler, the Chairman of the Board of WorldVu Satellites
Limited (d/b/a OneWeb). Boeing requests waiver of 47 CFR § 25.159(b). This proceeding has been designated "permit-but-disclose" for
