                                               RE: Applications Accepted for Filing
Pursuant to Section 63.11 of the Commission's Rules, the U.S. international carrier(s) listed below has filed with the
Commission a notification of the affiliation it has or proposes to have with foreign carriers.

Notification
"Telmex International, Inc. notifies the FCC of a proposed foreign affliliation as a result of the proposed investment by its parent
company, Telefonos de Mexico, S.A. de C.V., in Telecomunicaciones de Guatemala, S.A. (Telgua). The FCC will presume the planned
investment in Telgua to be in the public interest unless the FCC notifies Telmex International, Inc. otherwise in writing on or before
Feb. 28, 2000. This prior notification is made pursuant to Section 63.11(a) of FCC's rules.

Interested parties may file comments with respect to this notification within 14 days of the date of this public notice (see

that filed such pleadings may reply within 5 days. See Section 63.52(c), 1.45(c)-(j). It is requested that such comments
refer to the notification file number shown above. A copy of the notification is available for public inspection in the
