SAT-AMD-20170208-00016 E S2380 Intelsat License LLC Amendment Grant of Authority Effective Date: 05/04/2017 Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service See IBFS File No. SAT-MOD-20161110-00105 for a description of the Action Taken. SAT-MOD-20161110-00105 E S2380 Intelsat License LLC Modification 05/04/2017 - 07/31/2019 Grant of Authority Effective Date: 05/04/2017 Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On May 4, 2017, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, modification of the authority granted to Intelsat License LLC for the Intelsat 9 space station to specify operations at the 29.5° W.L. orbital location, instead of Intelsat 9's currently authorized location of 43.1° W.L. Intelsat 9 will provide fixed-satellite service at the 29.5° W.L. orbital location in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. The Satellite Division also granted authority to conduct telemetry, tracking and command operations necessary to drift Intelsat 9 from 43.1° W.L. to 29.5° W.L. and to maintain Intelsat 9 at 29.5° W.L. in inclined orbit. In addition, the license term for Intelsat 9 was extended for two years, through July 31, 2019. SAT-MOD-20170113-00005 E S2947 Horizons-3 License LLC Modification Grant of Authority Effective Date: 05/04/2017 Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On May 4, 2017, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of Horizons-3 License LLC to modify the authorization for the Horizons 3e space station to eliminate the continuity of service obligation imposed on Horizons 3e with respect to the 12.25-12.5 GHz and 14.25-14.5 GHz frequency bands at the 169° E.L. orbital location. SAT-MOD-20170331-00057 E S2704 Intelsat License LLC Modification 04/30/2017 - 12/31/2020 Grant of Authority Effective Date: 04/30/2017 Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On May 4, 2017, the Satellite Division reissued the license conditions for the Intelsat 5 space station to reflect relocation of Intelsat 5 from the 157° W.L. orbital location to 156.9° W.L. This relocation was made pursuant to Section 25.118(e) of the Commission's rules and became effective on April 30, 2017, without further authorization by the Commission. SAT-STA-20170421-00064 E S2110 Iridium Constellation LLC Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 05/03/2017 On May 3, 2017, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority for a period of 30 days to Iridium Constellation LLC to maintain up to four first-generation, non-geostationary satellites as in-orbit spares following their replacement by second-generation satellites. Telemetry, tracking, and command operations for the spare satellites will be conducted in the 19.4-19.6 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 29.1-29.3 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. SAT-STA-20170427-00067 E S2439 EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 04/27/2017 On April 27, 2017, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation, for a period of 30 days, to conduct telemetry, tracking and command operations necessary to remove the EchoStar 8 space station to a disposal orbit.
