SAT-STA-20170421-00065 E S2110 Iridium Constellation LLC Date Filed: 04/21/2017 13:10:18:47000 Special Temporary Authority Iridium Constellation LLC requests special temporary authority, for a period of 180 days, to relocate and maintain up to 12 first-generation satellites as spare satellites at an altitude of 760 km during the transition to Iridium's second-generation constellation. Iridium also requests authority to reposition first-generation satellites as replacements for satellites removed from the mission constellation. Iridium provides mobile-satellite service in the 1617.775-1626.5 MHz (Earth-to-space/space-to-Earth) frequency band. Inter-satellite links are operated in the 23.18-23.38 GHz band. Feeder links and telemetry, tracking, and command operations are conducted in the 19.4-19.6 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 29.1-29.3 GHz (Earth-to-space) bands.
