Date Filed: 02/08/2016 19:04:22:38600 Letter of Intent ViaSat, Inc. requests to access the U.S. market using a proposed geostationary Ka-band satellite, VIASAT-79W, which ViaSat plans to operate under the authority of the United Kingdom at the 79.0° W.L. orbital location. ViaSat requests U.S. market access to provide fixed-satellite service using the following frequency bands: 18.3-19.3 GHz and 19.7-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth); and 28.1-29.1 GHz and 29.5-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space). ViaSat seeks waiver of Section 2.106, footnote NG165 of the Commission's rules to permit GSO FSS operations in the 18.8-19.3 GHz band on a non-conforming basis.
