Modification 10/02/2012 - 04/30/2025 Granted in Part / Dismissed in Part Effective Date: 05/05/2016 Nature of Service: Mobile Satellite Service On May 5, 2016, the Satellite Division granted in part and dismissed in part the application of ORBCOMM License Corp. for extension or waiver of the final milestone requirement in its license for second-generation satellites. The Division extended the milestone deadline for a period of two years and one month, from March 21, 2014 through April 21, 2016, and otherwise dismissed the application as moot. On May 5, 2016, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of Intelsat Licensee LLC to modify the authorization for its Intelsat 1R space station to operate at the 50.1° W.L. orbital location, instead of its previously authorized orbital location at 50°W.L. Accordingly, Intelsat is authorized to operate the Intelsat 1R space station at the 50.1° W.L. orbital location to provide Fixed-Satellite Service using the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 10.95-11.20 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.95 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 13.75-14.50 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands and to operate the communications payload during the drift from 50°W.L. In addition, Intelsat is authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking, and command operations for the Intelsat 1R space station during the drift and at 50.1° W.L using the following center frequencies: 13.995 GHz and 14.4985 GHz (Earth-to-space); and 11.696 GHz and 11.697 GHz (space-to-Earth). Intelsat is also granted an extension of the Intelsat 1R space station license term through August 31, 2023. SAT-STA-20160406-00032 E S2934 Intelsat License LLC Special Temporary Authority Withdrawn Effective Date: 05/02/2016 INFORMATIVE SAT-MOD-20111021-00207 S2103 ORBCOMM License Corp. The Satellite Division has determined that ORBCOMM License Corp. has met the final milestone - launch and begin operations - associated with its authorization for second-generation satellites. Accordingly, ORBCOMM License Corp. has satisfied all of its milestone requirements and may remove the bond for this authorization, as provided in Amendment of the Commission's Space Station Licensing Rules and Policies, First Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, IB Docket No. 02-34, 18 FCC Rcd 10760 (2003), Amendment of the Commission's Space Station Licensing Rules and Policies, First Order on Reconsideration and Fifth Report and Order, IB Docket No. 02-34, 19 FCC Rcd 12637 (2004), and 47 C.F.R. § 25.165(d).
