SAT-AMD-19990930-00093              S2246          CAI DATA SYSTEMS, INC.
Amendment


CAI Data Systems, Inc. has filed an amendment to its pending application to construct, launch and operate a Ka-band satellite (See
Original File No. 88-SAT-P/LA-97, IBFS File No. SAT-LOA-19970702-00057, as amended by File No. 32-SAT-AMEND-98; IBFS
File No. SAT-AMD-19971219-00204). This amendment updates information relating to the ownership of CAI and its parent
company, CAI Wireless Systems, Inc., following the recent consummation of certain transactions by CAI Wireless. To the extent
necessary, CAI also requests an exemption of the "cut-off" rule pursuant to Section 25.116 of the Commission's rules to permit the
continued consideration of CAI's application in the current Ka-band processing round.




SAT-STA-19990929-00095              S2253          PANAMSAT CORPORATION
Special Temporary Authority


PanAmSat Corporation has filed a request for Special Temporary Authority to conduct in-orbit testing of its Galaxy XI satellite for up
to 90 days following launch of that satellite. PanAmSat has a pending application to operate the Galaxy XI satellite at 99 degrees
W.L. until the launch of the Galaxy VI-R satellite into that location, when Galaxy XI will move to 91 degrees W.L. PanAmSat has
another satellite, Galaxy VI, operating at 99 degrees W.L. Therefore, in this instant request, PanAmSat seeks temporary authority to
conduct the in-orbit testing at 78.5 degrees W.L. Galaxy XI is scheduled to be launched in November 1999.
