 Amendment

Intelsat License LLC seeks to amend its pending application to relocate the Galaxy 11 space station to, and to operate Galaxy 11 at, the 44.8°
 W.L. orbital location in the 10.95-11.20 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 13.75-14.50 GHz (Earth-to-space)
frequency bands. See IBFS File Nos. SAT-MOD-20121018-00184 (Report No. SAT-00918, Dec. 14, 2012). Galaxy 11 was last regularly
authorized to operate at 55.5° W.L. See IBFS File No. SAT-MOD-20101102-00229 (granted Apr. 7, 2011). Specifically, Intelsat's amendment
seeks: (1) interim authority to operate Galaxy 11 at the 55.6° W.L. orbital location in the 10.95-11.20 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.7-12.2 GHz
(space-to-Earth), and 13.75-14.50 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands pending its relocation to 44.8° W.L.; and, (2) an extension of the
license term for Galaxy 11 for approximately four years through January 2019. Intelsat also requests that the waivers of Sections
25.114(d)(14)(ii) and 25.283(c) previously granted to Galaxy 11 for the 55.5° W.L. orbital location continue to apply while the satellite is
temporarily located at the 55.6° W.L. orbital location.

 Launch and Operating Authority

Intelsat License LLC requests authority to construct, launch and operate a space station, to be known as Intelsat 34, at the 55.5° W.L.
(304.5ºE.L.) orbital location. Intelsat states that Intelsat 34 will replace Intelsat 805 (call sign S2404), which currently is operating at 55.5° W.L.,
and Galaxy 11 (call sign S2253), which currently is operating at 55.6º W.L. Intelsat seeks authority to provide Fixed-Satellite Service via Intelsat
 34 at 55.5° W.L. in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.7-12.2 GHz
(space-to-Earth), and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. Intelsat also requests authority to conduct telemetry, tracking, and
command operations to maintain Intelsat 34 at 55.5° W.L. using the following center frequencies: 3949 MHz (space-to-Earth), 3949.5 MHz
 (space-to-Earth), 3950.5 MHz (space-to-Earth), 3951 MHz (space-to-Earth), 6173.7 MHz (Earth-to-space), and 6176.3 MHz (Earth-to-space).
In addition, Intelsat requests authority to use beacons for uplink power control in the center frequencies of 3700.25 MHz (space-to-Earth),
11699.25 MHz (space-to-Earth), and 11699.5 MHz (space-to-Earth). Intelsat seeks waivers of Sections 25.210(a)(3) and Section 25.202(g) of
 the Commission's rules.
