INFORMATIVE
SAT-LOA-20090227-00029 S2787 Intelsat License LLC
On January 15, 2014, Intelsat License LLC declined its December 16, 2013 authorization to construct, launch, and operate a geostationary
orbit space station, Galaxy KA (Call Sign S2787), at the 89.1° W.L. orbital location. Letter from Jennifer D. Hindin, Counsel for Intelsat
License LLC, to Marlene H. Dortch, Secretary, FCC (dated Jan. 15, 2014). The authorization specified the provision of fixed-satellite
services, including direct-to-home services, in - among other frequency bands - the 18.3-18.8 GHz (space-to-Earth), 28.35-28.6 GHz
(Earth-to-space), and 29.25-29.50 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands on a primary basis. Pursuant to the Commission's first-come,
first-served licensing process, effective 2:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, applicants may file applications for new space
stations, market access by non-U. S. licensed space stations, modifications to licensed space stations, or amendments to pending
applications in the 18.3-18.8 GHz (space-to-Earth), 28.35-28.6 GHz (Earth-to-space), and 29.25-29.50 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency
bands at the 89.1° W.L. orbital location. Applications for the spectrum filed prior to this date and time will be dismissed as premature
without prejudice to refiling.

28.35-28.6 GHz and 29.5-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands on a primary basis; the 28.1-28.35 GHz and 28.6-29.1 GHz
(Earth-to-space) frequency bands on a secondary basis; and the 18.8-19.3 GHz (space-to-Earth) frequency band on a non-conforming basis.
These frequencies at the 79.3° W.L. orbital location are now available for reassignment pursuant to the Commission's first-come,
first-served licensing process, effective 2:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. At that time, applicants may file applications for new
space stations, market access by non-U. S. licensed space stations, modifications to licensed space stations, or amendments to pending
applications taking this announcement into account. Applications for the spectrum filed prior to this date and time will be dismissed as
premature without prejudice to refiling.
