Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The MITRE Corporation seeks a Special Temporary Authority to transmit HF radar transponder signals from Malabar Annex, FL, and MacDill, FL in support of experimental HF system testing. The transponder will be used in conjunction with an HF Over-the-Horizon Radar (OTHR) system that will be transmitting from White Sands Missile Range, NM. MITRE is sponsored by Air Force Research Laboratory (ARFL) to perform this work.
