Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation

Please explain the purpose of operation:

Short term demonstration of airborne radar system to potential US military customers in the USA. Radar will be installed in an airborne platform and will be operated both on the ground (for inital checks) and with the airborne platform in flight. The airborne platform will be leased from a commercial operator in the USA. Proposed locations for operation are in Nevada and military base in Arizona. The radar operates in a frequency band centred on 9.5 GHz.
