Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation

Please explain the purpose of operation:

Integration testing. The Portugal Air Force P-3C aircraft employs the EL/M-2022A(V)3 Multi-Mode RADAR (MMS) which is a low peak power airborne radar transmitting pulse compression waveforms for Radiolocation functions such as locating and tracking ships at sea, imaging ships at sea (ISAR mode), locating and tracking moving vehicles on land (GMTI mode) and imaging land areas (SAR mode).
