Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation

Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:

Applicant is a video production company which provides video for broadcast, satellite broadcast and cablecast of sporting and other events. Applicant has certain LTTS, BAS and private wireless licenses for this purpose. However, the spectrum demands at golf events and similar sporting events and the limited LTTS/BAS channels for these events make it necessary to make coordinated, short-term use of additinoal channels in the vicinity of 2 GHz. Such is necessary in order to have sufficient video relay from RF cameras at numerous locations at a golf course, for example, while at the same time allowing normal ENG use of the BAS spectrum at the same time in a given venue. Applicant has coordinated all channels proposed herein with AFTRCC, which coordinates flight test telemetry operations on the subject channels. The coordination for this event has been completed and the operations approved.
