SAT-T/C-20080521-00/08 and -00/09, SES-T/C-2008052/-00670 throutlh -00675 Dear Ms. Dortch: On June 24, 2008, the International Bureau authorized a pro forma transfer of control over the space and earth station licenses held by DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC ("DIRECTV") and related companies in connection with a share repurchase process that wil take Libert Media Corporation ("Libert Media") from a position of de facto control of DIRCTV to one of de jure control. 1 Under Section 25 .119( t) of the Commssion's rules, Liberty Media is required to consummate this pro form transfer within sixty (60) days of the grant, or August 23, 2008; Although the share repurchases have begun and are continuing, it appears that sufficient shares wil not have been repurchased to place Libert Media in a position of de jure control of DIRCTV until after that date. Accordingly, Libert Media hereby requests an additional sixty (60) days, until October 22, 2008, in which to consumte the authorized pro form transfer of control. 1 See Public Notice, Rep.
