Dear Ms. Dortch:

       EchoStar Broadcasting Corporation (“EchoStar Broadcasting”) writes to withdraw its
above-referenced renewal applications1 for Special Temporary Authority (“STA”) to operate
with the EchoStar 8 satellite at 76.90º W.L. EchoStar Broadcasting recently obtained permanent
authorization to operate with EchoStar 8 at the 76.90º W.L. orbital location.2

        EchoStar Broadcasting also withdraws the above-referenced renewal applications3 for
STA to operate with the EchoStar 16 satellite at 61.5° W.L. EchoStar Broadcasting recently
obtained permanent authorization to operate with all U.S.-licensed EchoStar and DISH satellites
at the 61.5°, 110°, and 119° W.L. clusters, which includes EchoStar 16.4
