12. Description. This is an application for a 30-day extension of the Special Temporary Authority ('STA') previously granted to EchoStar to use E990138 to operate EchoStar 6 temporarily at 110.35W for traffic transfer purposes. See SES-STA-20060303-00348 (granted Mar. 28, 2006). Traffic transfer has been completed but EchoStar's request for an STA to move EchoStar 6 to 110.4W and to store it there as an in-orbit spare is still pending before the Commission. See SES-STA-20060303-00347 (accepted for filing on Mar. 8, 2006). The instant application is being filed to enable Echostar 6 to remain at 110.35W pending grant of the STA to move and store the satellite at 110.4W.
