- Marlink, Inc. (Marlink) respectfully files for an extension, to be effective July 14, 2026 of the 180-day Special Temporary Authority (“STA”) to operate the Ku-band remote antennas listed in the attached narrative to provide ESV service pursuant to its call sign WB36 license Blanket Earth Station In Motion authorization while the Commission processes Marlink’s Modification Application to add permanent authority for these antennas to the WB36 license. Marlink understands that per the TEMPORARY EXPEDITED PROCESSING PROCEDURES FOR EARTH STATION APPLICATIONS SEEKING SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY set forth in the Commission’s March 10, 2025, PUBLIC NOTICE DA 25-207, the current 180-day STA is automatically renewed by the filing of this application for extension. The STA requested is for the remote antennas to utilize the 14.0 to 14.50 GHz frequency band (Earth-to-space) and the 10.70 to 12.20 GHz frequency band (Space-to-earth) to communicate with the satellites listed in the attached Narrative and Need Statement. Marlink’s Showing of Compliance by the antennas with the Commission’s Rules is set forth in the Modification Application and exhibits to same which are hereby incorporated by reference. The point of contact with authority and ability to cease all emissions for these operations is Marlink’s U.S. based ESV Compliance Officer, who is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via 346-223-0396 which is the U.S. number for Marlink’s Maritime Network Operations Center. Please see the attached Narrative and Need Statement for justification and further details.
