- Pursuant to 47 CFR 25.120 of the Commission’s Rules, Lockheed Martin Corporation hereby requests an extension of its existing Special Temporary Authority (FCC File No. SES-STA-20260331-00830) for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days to operate its Carpentersville, New Jersey fixed earth station (Call Sign E7541) to provide telemetry, tracking, and control (“TT&C”) functions during the Launch and Early Orbit Phase (“LEOP”) operation for the Viasat-3 F3 satellite. Viasat-3 F3 was successfully launched on April 29, 2026, aboard a Falcon Heavy rocket from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Lockheed Martin has been supporting the LEOP mission, which is occurring over an extended period of time due to the spacecraft’s electronic propulsion architecture. Accordingly, Lockheed Martin hereby requests extension of its authority to communicate with Viasat-3 F3 for the purposes outlined in its initial request and to permit it to complete LEOP and the in-orbit testing.
