SES Americom, Inc. respectfully requests earth station special temporary authority for a period of 60 days beginning on December 13, 2019 to permit SES to use its E920698 earth station to perform Tracking, Telemetry and Command for the ASTRA 3A spacecraft at 86.8 W.L. A full description of the proposed operations is provided in a modification application filed in parallel with this request, and STA is sought pending grant of the modification in order to address a technical issue affecting another earth station. The request is in the public interest because it will ensure safe satellite operations without causing interference to authorized users.
