REQUEST FOR SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY By this application, SES Americom, Inc. (“SES”) respectfully requests special temporary authority (“STA”) for a period of 60 days starting from 17th August 2019 to continue the services out of the earth station with call sign #E190099, on non-interference and unprotected basis as the application for permanent license for the station is in pending. The carriers in Ku band frequency (14,000-14,500 MHz) will be operated within the EIRP limit as specified in the license application. The antenna will communicate with NSS-11which has license granted on 02/26/19 by FCC to operate at 176E longitude with reference to the File# SAT-PPL-20180815- 00062 and call sign # S3037. NSS-11 downlink (space to earth) operates in the frequency range 12,250 MHz to 12,750MHz. SES seeks a waiver to permit the earth station to receive the signal in this frequency band on an unprotected, non-interference basis. The technical details of the proposed operations are provided below. The earth station will be operated in compliance with the Commission’s radiation hazard limits and the antenna performance will comply with the gain patterns as specified in section 25.209 (a) and (b).
