         Intelsat License LLC herein requests an additional 30 days of Special Temporary Authority
         to use its Mountainside, Maryland Ku—band earth station (call sign 5140121) to provide
         telemetry, tracking, and command services for Galaxy 11 during its drift from 44.9 E.L. to
         93.1 W.L.

Intelsat License LLC- is granted special temporary authority for 30 days,
commencing July 05, 2019, to operate its Hagerstown, MD earth station, to
provide telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) services to the Galaxy 11
(S2253) satellite during its drift from 44.9° EL. to 93.1° W.L. on the following
center frequencies: 14000.5 MHz and 14498.5 MHz (Earth-to-space) and
11701.0 MHz and 11702.0 MHz (space-to-Earth). Operations are authorized
under the following conditions:

1. All operations under this grant of STA shall be on an unprotected and non-
harmful interference basis Intelsat License shall not cause harmful
interference to and shall not claim protection from interference caused to it
by, any other lawfully operating radio communication system.

2. In the event of any harmful interference Intelsat License LLC- shall cease
operations immediately upon notification of such interference, and shall
immediately inform the Commission, in writing, of such an event.

3. All operators of satellites will be provided with an emergency phone
number where the licensee can be reached in the event that harmful
interference occurs, Currently the 24x7 contact information for Intelsat
License LLC- is Ph.: (703) 559-7701-East Coast Operations Center (primary)
and Ph.:(310) 525-5591-West Coast Operations Center (back-up). Requests to
speak with Harry Burnham or Kevin Bell.

4. Grant of this STA is without prejudice to any determination that the
Commission may make regarding pending or future Intelsat License LLC
applications.

5. Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to
this STA is solely at Intelsat License LLC ‘s risk.

6. Intelsat License LLC- operations during the period July 01, 2019 to the
date of this grant were authorized pursuant to Section 1.62 of the
Commission’s rules 47 C.F.R. § 1.62.


This grant is issued pursuant to Section 0.26 1 of the Commission’s rules on
delegated authority, 47 C.F.R. § 0.26 1, and is effective upon release.

Dear Ms. Dortch:

Intelsat License LLC (“Intelsat”) herein requests an additional 30 days of Special Temporary
Authority (“STA”)’ previously granted to Jntelsat to use its Mountainside, Maryland Ku-band earth
station (call sign E140121) to provide telemetry, tracking, and command (“TT&C”) services for
Galaxy 11 (call sign S2253) during its drift from 44.9° E.L to 93.1° W.L.2 Galaxy 11 began drifting
on March 4, 2019, and the drift is expected to take approximately six months.3 Intelsat has filed a
modification to add Galaxy 11 as a point of communication at 93.1° W.L.4

The Galaxy 11 TT&C operations will continue to be performed in the following frequencies: 14000.5
MHz and 14498.5 MHz in the uplink; and 11701.0 MHz and 11702.0 MHz in the downlink. The drift
operations will be coordinated with all operators of satellites that use the same frequency bands and
are in the drift path.5 All operators of satellites in that path will be provided with an emergency phone
number where the licensee can be reached in the event that harmful interference occurs. In the

extremely unlikely event that harmful interference should occur due to transmissions to or from its
earth station, Intelsat will take all reasonable steps to eliminate the interference.

Grant of this STA extension request will allow Intelsat to complete its drift of Galaxy 11 to its new
location. This, in turn, will allow Intelsat to provide service continuity at the nominal 93.10 W.L.
orbital location and thereby promotes the public interest.
