Maris Development Request for 60-day Special Temporary Authority Narrative Explanation On December 13, 2018, the Commission granted Maris special temporary authority (STA) for 30 days to operate its fixed earth station in Boardman, Ohio (Call Sign E181611) authorizing use prior to grant of a pending earth station license. See SES-STA-20181207-03385 (the “STA Grant”). Maris provided technical information for the operation of the earth station as part of the license application for the earth station, SES-LIC-20180827-02512. On January 29, 2019, and pursuant to Section 1.62 of the Commission’s rules, Maris timely filed a 60-day renewal request. See SES-STA-20190129-00010 Out of an abundance of caution, and again pursuant to Section 1.62 of the Commission’s rules, Maris hereby files another 60-day renewal request to operate under the terms and conditions of the STA Grant.
