("EchoStar") requests a 30-day renewal of its special temporary authority ("STA"), expiring on May 31, 2018, to operate earth stations, as specified in the table below, for telemetry, tracking, and control ("TT&C") operations required to deorbit the Echo Star 6 satellite (Call Sign S2232).' 'EchoStar may operate additional earth stations in Gilbert, AZ (E020306), Quicksburg, VA (E070273), and Cheyenne, WY (E080 120), which are already authorized for TT&C communications with EchoStar 6 at its assigned 96.2° W.L. orbital location. Applicant: EchoStar Operating L.L.C. Call Sign: E070014 File No.: SES-STA-20 180521-00709 Special Temporary Authority (STA) EchoStar Operating L.L.C. is granted a 30-day STA beginning June 01, 2018 to operate its earth station location 33°22'0.80"N, 111°48'54.7"W (NAD83) in Gilbert, Arizona to perform de-orbit maneuvers for the EchoStar 6 satellite (Call Sign 2232). Telemetry, tracking, and control ("TT&C") services will be conducted on 17305 MHz (Earth-to-space) and on 12203-12204 MHz (space-to-Earth) frequencies to a disposal orbit at nominal altitude of 386 kilometers with the following conditions: 1) Operations shall not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection from, interference caused to it by any other lawfully operating station and it shall cease transmission(s) immediately upon notice of such interference. 2) Operations must be coordinated with all operators of satellites that use the same frequency bands and are in the de-orbit path. All operators of satellites in that path will be provided with an emergency 24x7 contact phone number information for the mission. 3) Grant of this authorization is without prejudice to any determination that the Commission may make regarding pending or future EchoStar Operating L.L.C. applications. 4) Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this STA is solely at EchoStar Operating L.L.C.'s risk. 5) EchoStar Operating L.L.C. must dispose of EchoStar 6 satellite in accordance with 47 C.F.R. 25.283.
