                   Ellenwood, Georgia Earth Station E980502

Dear Ms. Dortch:

Intelsat License LLC (“Intelsat”) herein requests an additional 30 days of Special Temporary Authority
(“STA”)1 previously granted Intelsat to use its Ellenwood, Georgia Ku-band earth station—call sign
E980502—to provide telemetry, tracking, and command (“TT&C”) services2 for Intelsat 9 (S2380) on-
station at 29.5° W.L.3

TT&C operations will continue to be performed in the following frequencies: 14000.5 MHz and 14494.5
MHz (Earth-to-space); and 11700.5 MHz and 11702.0 MHz (space-to-Earth).4 On-station at 29.5°
W.L., Intelsat 9 will operate in accordance with its coordination agreements for the nominal 29.5° W.L.
orbital location. All potentially affected operators of satellites will be provided with an emergency
phone number where the licensee can be reached in the event that harmful interference occurs.

In the unlikely event that harmful interference occurs, Intelsat will take all necessary steps to eliminate

Grant of this STA extension request will allow Intelsat to safely station—keep the Intelsat 9 satellite at
29.5° W.L. and thereby promotes the public interest.
