("SES Americom") is granted extension of STA, for 60 days, continuing on September 30, 2017 to operate 7.6 meter ASC Signal Ku—band antenna at its new fixed earth station located at 39° 22‘ 38.8" N.L, 077° 04° 52.0° W.L in Mt. Airy, Maryland to communicate with AMC—4 (Call Sign $2135) at permanent orbital location 134.9° W.L. on conventional Ku— band frequencies 14.0—14.5 GHz (Earth—to—space) and 11.7—12.2 GHz (space—to—Earth). Operations will be under the following conditions: 1. Operations shall not exceed the operational power levels and parameters requested: Maximum eirp: $4.8 dBW Maximum eirp density: 45.3 dBW/A4kHz Emissions: 36M0G7W, 100KG7ZW, NON 2. Operations, shall not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection from, interference caused to it by any other lawfully operating station and it shall cease transmission(s) immediately upon notice of such interference. 3. In the event of any harmful interference under this grant of STA, SES Americom, E170137 must cease operations immediately upon notification of such interference, and must inform the Commission, in writing, immediately of such an event. 4. Transmitter(s) must be turned off during antenna maintenance to ensure compliance with the FCC—specified safety guidelines for human exposure to radiofrequency radiation in the region between the antenna feed and the reflector. Appropriate measures must also be taken to restrict access to other regions in which the earth station‘s power flux density levels exceed the specified guidelines. 5. The licensee shall take all necessary measures to ensure that the antenna does not create potential exposure of humans to radiofrequency radiation in excess of the FCC exposure limits defined in 47 CFR 1.1307(b) and 1.1310 wherever such exposures might occur. Measures must be taken to ensure compliance with limits for both occupational/controlled exposure and for general population/uncontrolled exposure, as defined in these rule sections. The FCC‘s OET Bulletin 65 (available on—line at www.fee.gov/oet/rfsafety) provides information on predicting exposure levels and on methods for ensuring compliance, including the use of warning and alerting signs and protective equipment for workers. 6. Grant of this authorization is without prejudice to any determination that the Commission may make regarding SES Americom‘s pending application IBFS File No. SES—LIC—20170725— 00795. 7. Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this STA is solely at SES Americom‘s risk.
