Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. FCC Form 312STA August 2017 REQUEST FOR SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (“Sinclair”), pursuant to Section 25.120(b)(3) of the Commission’s Rules, hereby requests Special Temporary Authority for a period of up to sixty (60) days, commencing as of August 14, 2017, to permit continued operation of its Cockeysville, MD fixed satellite earth station licensed under Call Sign E020167 (the “License”) pending processing and final action on its petition for reinstatement and renewal filed contemporaneously with this request. As explained in that application, Sinclair did not file a timely renewal application for the License, but has submitted within five days of expiration a fully supported petition for reinstatement and renewal pursuant to Section 25.163(a) of the Commission’s Rules.
