All operations under this grant of special temporaryauthorityare on an unprotected and non— harmful interference basis. Intelsat License, LLC, must not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection frominterference caused to it by, any other lawfully operating station. 2. In the event of any harmfulinterference under this grant ofspecial temporaryauthority, Intelsat License, LLC, must cease operations immediately upon notification of suchinterference, and must inform the Commission, in writing, immediately ofsuch an event. 3. Anyaction taken or expense incurred as a result ofoperations pursuant to this special temporaryauthority is solely ‘at Intelsat License, LLC‘s risk. 4. Operations are restricted to parameters defined in SAT—LOA—20130722—00097. 5. The licensee shall take extraordinary measures to ensure that the antenna does not create the potentialfor radiation exposure to persons who may be within the immediatevicinity. Radiofrequencyradiation may not exceed the FCC safety guideline of 1 mW/em?. Warning signs, such as those discussed in the FCC‘s OETBulletin 65, shall be posted informing members ofthe public to keep outside the exposure area that exceedslimit. 6. Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: Request for Extension of Special Temporary Authority 1.2m Ku—band Antenna, Hagerstown, Maryland Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat License LLC ("Intelsat") herein requests an additional 30 days of Special Temporary Authority ("STA")‘ previously granted Intelsat to utilize a 1.2m Ku—band antenna located at its Hagerstown, Maryland teleport to provide communications with Intelsat 29e ($2913) in order to test customer equipment.* Intelsat expects to file an application to permanent license this antenna. Intelsat will continue performing operations in the following frequency bands: 10.95 — 12.75 GHz and 14.00 — 14.50 GHz. In further support of this extension request, Intelsat incorporates by reference Exhibit A, a radiation hazard analysis report, submitted with its original STA request. Grant of this STA extension request will allow Intelsat to successfully complete testing of customer equipment.
