Gogo LLC Attachment A Page 1 REQUEST FOR SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY Gogo LLC (“Gogo”), which holds a license to operate an earth station aboard aircraft (“ESAA”) network, 1 hereby requests a 60-day extension of the special temporary authority (“STA”) it was granted in File No. SES-STA-20160624-00610 to permit up to 200 ESAA terminals to communicate the U.S.-licensed Intelsat 20 spacecraft. 2 Grant of the requested STA extension will serve the public interest by allowing Gogo to continue to respond to customer demand and optimize its coverage in the Middle East. Gogo seeks extension of its authority pending Commission action on Gogo’s recent application to modify its ESAA license, which includes a request to add Intelsat 20 as an authorized point of communication. 3 Gogo incorporates by reference the supporting information that was provided in File No. SES-STA- 20160624-00610. 1 See Call Sign E120106, File No. SES-MFS-20151022-00735, granted June 30, 2016 (the “Gogo ESAA License”). A pro forma assignment of the Gogo ESAA license to Gogo’s affiliate AC BidCo LLC (“AC BidCo”) has been approved by the Commission but has not yet been consummated. See File No. SES-ASG-20160714-00659, granted July 19, 2016. Gogo requests that upon consummation of the assignment, the Commission continue to process this STA request but replace Gogo with AC BidCo as the applicant. 2 Gogo is licensed for two ESAA terminals, the 0.24 meter AeroSat model HR6400 and the 0.74 meter ThinKom model 2Ku, and requests continued authority for both models, up to a combined total of 200 terminals. 3 See Gogo LLC, Call Sign E120106, File No. SES-MFS-20160824-00738.
