(Spire) respectfully requests a 180-day extension of the special temporary authority (STA) granted in File No. SES-STA-20160324-00294 and incorporates by reference the supporting materials submitted with that filing. Continued authority to operate this earth station while the underlying license application remains pending, File No. SES-LIC-20160317-00250, will allow Spire to communicate with its in-orbit satellites and provide service, which serves the public interest. Pursuant to 47 C.F.R. Section 1.62, Spire will continue operation of this earth station pending action on the instant application.
