(Spire) respectfully requests a 180−day extension of the special temporary authority (STA) granted in File No. SES−STA−20160324−00292 and incorporates by reference the supporting materials submitted with that filing. Continued authority to operate this earth station while the underlying license application remains pending, File No. SES−LIC−20160317−00252, will allow Spire to communicate with its in−orbit satellites and provide service, which serves the public interest. Pursuant to 47 C.F.R. Section 1.62, Spire will continue operation of this earth station pending action on the instant application. 5
