("Hawaii Pacific®‘) is granted a special temporary authority, extension from SES—STA—20160509—00404, for 30 days, beginning June 22, 2016, to operate a 1.2 meter antenna located at its Kapolei (Honolulu), HI teleport to provide in— orbit testing ("IOT") of the Nimig—2 at 148° E.L. orbitallocation in the 29.50—30 GHz (Earth—to—space) frequency band under the following conditions. 1. All operations under this grant of STA shall be on an unprotected and non—harmful interference basis. Intelsat‘s shall not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection from interference caused to it by, any other lawfully operating radio communication system. 2. In the event of any harmfulinterference under this grant of STA, Hawaii Pacific must cease operations immediately upon notification of such interference, and must inform the Commission, in writing, immediately of such an event. 3. Grant of this authorization is without prejudice to any determination that the Commission may make regarding pending or future Hawaii Pacific‘s applications. 4. Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuantto this STA is solely at Hawaii Pacific‘s risk. 5. STA Extension Request Hawaii Pacific Teleport (HPT) requests a second extension of the special temporary authority ("STA") to operate a Ka—band earth station to provide in—orbit testing ("IOT") services for a BIU mission. Pursuant to the authority in File Number SES—STA—20160323—00268, as extended by SES—STA—20160509—00404, HPT is providing IOT of the Nimiq—2 at 148° E.L. orbital location in the 29.5 — 30.0 GHz (Earth—to—space) frequency band. The testing involves 30—45 minute spectrum plots either once per day or once per week.
